Description: “Skid” is a large, big-bodied mare standing a little more than 16.1hh
with the sweetest disposition. She has been a riding horse for all age riders, has done some showing and has produced some
beautiful Appaloosa Sport Horses before coming to ASH.
Skid goes back to Wap's Spot 2 three times and is approximately
3/8 thoroughbred. We have confidence in the Wap's Spot 2 foundation lines for producing effective and
competitive sport horses that are out there showing what they can do. Skid’s sire and dam are well colored Appaloosas with large spotted blankets. The addition
of extreme lightning marks on the legs make her dam, Waps Confetti, appear to be leopard. With the
lack of true leopard patterning in her parents we believe Skid is actually a very extensive snowcap. In
any case she is homozygous for Appaloosa color/characteristics and has produced beautiful Appaloosa color both times she was
bred to a completely solid non-Appaloosa stallion. Thank you to Liz Kennedy
of T/N Farms for the opportunity to breed this very nice mare!

Breeding/Offspring: Skid had two beautifully colored and athletic sport horse
foals before coming to Altamont Sport Horses. Both were colts and sired by approved AHHA Holsteiner stallion
Amour.
2006 -
Amorio is a dark buckskin blanket with spots and beautiful movement. He stands 16.2hh at 3 years of age and
is currently going under saddle with a trainer in California.
2007 - Applaud is a bay blanketed gelding that still has
a lot of growing to do. He is owned by T/N Farms in Michigan and is just beginning his training.
2011 - Waps StandingOvation foaled a bay dun snowcap colt by ASH's junior Appaloosa
stallion, Hollywood Hot Spot. She is open for 2012.
