Registration: "Mikasa"
is registered with the Appaloosa Sport Horse Association (ApSHA).
Description:
Mikasa is a very sweet and lovely moving mare. She is a bay suppressed leopard
with all Appaloosa characteristics (striped hooves, mottled skin and white sclera). She was started under
saddle as a 3 year old, has some professional training and has been ridden intermittently although her
primary use has been breeding. Mikasa has come to Altamont Sport Horses on a breeding lease to produce
Appaloosa Sport Horses. Thank you to Infinity Farm of Amsterdam, NY for allowing us to breed Mikasa.
This big girl is just so kind and gentle.
She gets along well in the herd and is always patient. She is built for dressage or eventing with good conformation and
a powerful hind end. She has phenomenal reach and impulsion as you would expect with her dam being a standardbred
trotter. Mikasa also has the large boned, foundation Appaloosa heritage with the movement and substance
of a warmblood (but with spots). Mikasa's full siblings are doing quite well in jumping competition.
